Costume Design
CANDIDE
Costume designs for Leonard Bernstein's Candide. Using the Voltaire's critique of Optimistic philosophy as a starting point I blended the 1960's and the 18th Century together to create a whimsical send off of the era and the novel.
TWELFTH NIGHT
Costume designs for William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Using the spirit and insouciance of the younger characters I thought a setting of the Roaring Twenties would really suit this piece. Inspiration coming from silent film footage and fashion plates from the era.

HAMLET
Costume designs for William Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Using the existential philosophy as a basis for my adaptation of Hamlet I used the French Philosopher's of the 1950s (Camus, Sartre, De Beauvoir etc.) as inspiration along with the youth subcultures of the time such as the beatniks.
