Professional info

I have always been in love with anything visual and anything historical. As I grew up I developed a love also, for clothing. After being involved with theatre projects since a young age I eventually found myself in the world of costume design. In 2015 I completed my degree in Costume Design & Making at Nottingham Trent University, graduating with a 2:1. I am currently based near Manchester.

Charades Costume - (2016-Present)

Costume Assistant

I am currently working part time for Charades Costume. The work includes a wide variety of tasks such as sewing; alterations, packing or unpacking a show before or after it's delivery and assisting the costumiers in the costuming of the show.

In this environment I have been able to hone my skills in costume construction and styling. I have also had the opportunity to work on an array of shows with them including the production of new shows they didn't have in their wardrobe such as Legally Blonde, 42nd Street and The Producers.

Here I have also widened my understanding of how a costume team will work with a director or a company to help produce a wardrobe that reflects the directors vision whilst working alongside the other members of a production team.
